Tamara did a wonderful job facilitating the eight-hour Leadership Training Series to the Clear Channel Outdoor management staff. We found all facets of the training to be very helpful. Going forward my staff will be much more proficient in the use effective leadership tools as a host of other skills shared with our team. Tamara’s use of practical, “real life” scenarios and role playing kept the training relevant and interesting for my team.

Tamara helped me recognize why it’s been so hard all my life to find where I should focus my skills and talents. There is not necessarily one right career choice for me, but now I know there are a variety of jobs that would fit my skills and interests outside of my first career that was very focused on a certain set of job skills.

Tamara Fay was a pleasure to work with. Our six-month management training curriculum was developed a few months prior to our first session. However, one week before the training was to begin, we went from a family owned business to a strategic piece of a much larger organization. Tamara was able to adapt the curriculum to fit our new reality while maintaining the core of the curriculum previously outlaid. Tamara’s experience, intelligence, wit, and calming influence helped our company through a very challenging time, and infused our management team with tools that will help us tackle future challenges. Tamara has presented nine management workshops to AAP managers through the AAP’s partnership with DePaul University. The AAP has a highly educated, and very discerning, staff with a large number of managers with master’s degrees. The workshops have been very widely praised and attendees have especially liked the practical insights that Tamara provides. Many attendees have said she is the best instructor they have had and that the course was exactly what they needed. We conduct over 50 training courses for our staff each year and Tamara has been one of our top-ranked instructors.

Tamara facilitates a “Problem-Solving and Decision-Making” session that has been especially noteworthy. After conducting the session, Tamara provided several possible recommendations that were then given to our Membership Department for review. Being able to assist the organization with recommendations by our own staff was a collateral benefit and helped staff to cement the learnings of the workshop. I would highly recommend Tamara to any organization that wants to focus on results.

Our supervisory staff had attended many seminars led by outside facilitators and left feeling their time was wasted. When they completed workshops facilitated by Tamara, they left with the feeling that they could implement the different points that she covered. Tamara took the time to learn about our company and more importantly our department. She was able to address the types of issues we deal with day in and day out.

Tamara is very professional, energetic and a delight to work with. She gets right to the point, unlike other facilitators I have had provide presentations. With very few prompts from me she was able to zero in on the very specific points we wanted to address, and presented them in a very positive and non-threatening manner. Through the IPFW Division of Continuing Studies, Tamara Fay has been training, coaching and developing the Maple Leaf Farms Production Supervisors and Team Leads. In the classroom settings she has developed our leaders to understand their roles in communication and to become thinkers outside of their own boxes and in some instances even their comfort zones. After Tamara trained the group they were given major projects to work on as teams crossing over in to all production areas. Tamara coached the teams throughout their projects. Each team presented their findings to the Executive Team. The results were astounding. The projects caused changes in needed areas as well as large cost savings to the company. Maple Leaf was so pleased with the results from the 2009 Development Program that we asked Tamara and IPFW to come back in 2010. The classroom work is finished and the 2010 projects are soon to be presented to the Executive Team. As the Vice President of Human Resources I can say that the training has been a great success and I am excited to see what new things the teams will present to us.

Tamara’s seminar was the gentle push I needed to get “unstuck” and move forward in my effort to re-enter the job market “after kids.” Making the move seemed daunting but Tamara broke it down into a logical process. With Tamara’s expertise, we identified career goals and translated my talents and accomplishments into transferable work skills. This workshop is a “must” for any women making a career or lifestyle transition. It gave me the confidence to land the job I wanted with a major heath center in the western suburbs of Chicago.

Anyone that is going to be a supervisor or has been one for ten years needs to come to this workshop. This was quality information that I will never forget.
